Digital Design & Direction
Role: Creative Direction/IA/Prototyping
A fully responsive, fully CMS driven, horizontal parallax website was created for the Jaguar Aftersales network. The primary task was to promote winter tyres and the importance of changing to these in winter months. A lot of time was spent creating workable prototypes before we undertook the immense challenge, but worth it!
Client: Cartoon Network
Role: Creative Direction/Design/Development
Agency: Blend London
I was commissioned by Blend London to design and develop the Paranorman website for Cartoon Network. A whole bunch of juicy assets were at my fingertips. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
I was commissioned by Blend London to design a whole range of assets for the Facebook page to promote A Game of Thrones / A Song of Ice and Fire campaign. Some of these included visualising the houses and character quotes. The campaign has now been shortlisted in the Best Digital Marketing Campaign category at this year’s FutureBook Innovation Awards.
I was given the opportunity at EMO to redesign the agency website. The new branding was completed shortly before (great work by Bruce Taylor) and it gave me the tools I needed. It was one of the first responsive sites that I took control of.
Project: Website - Pitch
Role: Creative Direction/Design/IA/
We were asked to pitch for the re-design of the full Harveys furniture store website. Not only to create a slick responsive website but to make this destination the number one place to shop for furniture.
I had the opportunity to work on one of the most anticipated films of 2010 through Galactus.
Hewlett-Packard joined forces with Disney to sponsor the Tron Legacy
movie. A personalised identity disc application was created so users could customise and print off their own discs.
To celebrate the launch of Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron Blend London decided to take the adrenalin-fuelled feud between the Autobots and Decepticons right to the fans front door. The Google street view integration works perfectly here. I was commissioned to develop the creative.
Client: Select Recruitment
Project: Website - pitch
Role: Creative Direction/Design/IA
We were asked to pitch for the re-design of this established recruitment agency. The idea was simple....to make the experience more human, make real connections with employers and employees through a trusted agency that will provide a real service.
How about some online advertising
How about some online advertising
These are just a few examples of online ads that I've designed and built.
After graduating in 2000 with a 2.1 BA Hons in Graphic Design, I began my career as a New Media Designer and Developer working with clients in the B2B sector. I joined Hyperlaunch n 2004 as a Senior Web Designer having previously worked for GreenRoom Digital where I specialised in the entertainment sector, producing campaigns for film, music, TV and publishing. A move to True Digital in 2007 as Lead Designer saw me working with clients in the commercial, financial and public sectors. I returned to HyperlaunchDMG in 2008 to head up the creative team and was promoted to Deputy Creative Director at 20:20 where I was responsible for delivering high-end creative solutions. In 2011 I headed up the digital creative department at EMO, specialising in digital marketing for retail, automotive, healthcare and community networks. I'm currently available for freelance.
Here are just some of the brands I've had the privilege of working with:
2013 - Shortlisted in the FutureBook Innovation Awards (Blend London)
2009 - Fresh Award - Gold Winner
2008 - Webby Award - Gold Winner
2008 - Adobe site of the day
